Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She is the only person to be awarded 10/10 marks during an Olympic performance. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci as she was only seven years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the national junior championships and finished 13th. Following that, she became champion. Her first ever international event in 1972 she took the top spot with three gold medals. At her first competitive event at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals aswell as one silver. In 1976, she became the world's first woman who used a double backwards salto to dismount from the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment business performing as figure skater. Together with her younger twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry in her teens. At the age of 13, Carol began as a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. These shows included skaters who were followed by musical performances.
